This is the seventh Prince Edward Island PNP draw of 2025, and it aligns with the province’s plan to meet labour market needs and promote economic growth by focusing on key sectors such as skilled professions, healthcare, and manufacturing.

All 39 invitations were sent to candidates who are either working or with employment offers in PEI’s major economic sectors. Interestingly, no invites were sent out under the Business Job Permit stream in this round.

The Immigration Office confirmed that the immigration strategy of PEI is presently prioritizing qualified workers in highly competitive industries, particularly;

- Other sectors with significant labour shortages
Applicants employed in sales and service roles are less inclined presently to receive invitations because there is a shortage of demand in those sectors.
This focused strategy ensures the province satisfies its immediate workers’ needs, supporting long-term financial sustainability and growing populations under PEI’s changing Population Framework.
