Three regions in Canada have revealed details about a new pathway to permanent residence for French speakers.

IRCC have revealed new pathway Apply for Canada PR for French speakers in three regions. 

  • Acadian Peninsula, New Brunswick
  • St. Pierre Jolys, Manitoba
  • Kelowna, British Columbia

The Francophone Community Immigration Pilot, For employer-focused program, which launch in this year.

French-speaking foreign worker, who have an offer of employment in a community-outside Quebec can get Canadian permanent residence (PR) through the this program, provided they meet all criteria.

Six communities have been selected in Canada to participate in the Program.

Acadian Peninsula, New Brunswick

FCIP Eligibility criteria

In addition to having a job offer that is in a priority sector or priority occupation, candidates have meet other eligibility requirements to qualify for the Francophone Community Immigration Pilot Program.

  • Work experience: Candidates are required minimum one year (1,560 hours) of related work experience over the past three years. However this condition can be waived for international graduates who meet certain criteria.
  • Language proficiency: Candidates are required knowledge of French speaking by having a minimum score of NCLC 5 in all four abilities.
  • Education: Candidates must have minimum a secondary school level credential.
  • Funds Required: Candidates must have the minimum settlement funds to support themselves and their families.
